This hotel is definitely a step or two above most 4-5 star resorts in the Oman / UAE region. The facilities were very polished, and the staff extremely friendly and responsive. The location is nestled in a gorgeous cove with picturesque rock cliffs / islands jutting out to create a beautiful view. It was quite peaceful and didn't have all the obnoxious pop music blasting so you could properly relax and listen to the waves on the shore etc. At night (we were there in early Dec) there are crabs scurrying around on the beach and glowing plankton which was stunning. Highly highly recommend this place for a holiday away. There's also a PADI dive center and tennis court etc which were nice pluses.

Fort Guesthouse نُزل القلعة is located in Muscat, 1.2 km from Old Watch Tower, 5.3 km from Muscat Gate Museum, as well as 5.3 km from Central Business District. The location was perfect - in such a cute area of Mutrah, within easy walking distance of great restaurants, Omani forts, and the Mutrah Souk. I got a free upgraded room which was really clean and cute with traditional Omani decor. The room had a lovely rock shower with great amenities. The property felt very safe as a solo female traveler!

This 5-star beachfront resort in Muscat is a 15-minute drive from Muscat International Airport. It has a spa with massage services, swimming pools. It is no exaggeration at all when I (and others on here) say this is the best hotel I have ever stayed at (and I’ve had the pleasure of staying at many lovely hotels around the world). Absolutely everything was perfect. Every single member of staff (a mix of Omanis and international staff from so many countries) was beyond efficient and so friendly. I felt they took even extra care of me as I was staying alone (Shukran!) and their care and attention to detail was second to none! I didn’t meet the manager Mr Karim but would like to thank and congratulate him on running such an exceptional hotel. Among the many wonderful staff who all work so hard, special mentions to Suresh who checked me in in the early hours, Renuka who cleaned my room so meticulously, Schola the restaurant hostess who was very informative and gave me the best table for the Christmas Day brunch! Khine also a restaurant hostess who was lovely to chat too on my final evening and so helpful too and Kolthum who checked me out, such a lovely lady. El-Mostafa in the restaurant, Khalid who picked me up at the airport (plus the driver who took me back there), the restaurant staff in all the restaurants, the wonderful chefs and the beach attendants. The Chedi’s design is amazing. Beautiful grounds (they even have peacocks!), so tranquil, so clean, many dining options and wonderfully designed rooms. I can see why it’s a Leading Hotel of the World and has so many awards and accolades. Thank you Chedi Muscat for an unforgettable Christmas holiday!

Set on a clifftop in the city center, Crowne Plaza Muscat features stunning panoramic city & sea views. The best sunset view in Muscat! This hotel is a gem, great pool, good food (with friday’s a sea food buffet I’ve never experienced the likes of it in another hotel!), comfortable rooms, but best of all : fantastic personnel! They upgraded us twice (we stayed here at the beginning and at the end of our holidays), our last day they arranged a room free of charge for a late check out at 6pm! Special thanks to Najiya, you helped made our stay exceptionnal! Don’t hesitate and book this hotel, you won’t be dissapointed!
