This place is a treasure, undiscovered treasure. The owners and the staff are among the nicest people that I’ve ever met during decades of Travel. I would recommend that anybody visiting Lisbon should make the hour and a half drive to experience the magic of this place. I did not have time to get an international drivers license before we arrive so I was taken down Lisbon by car once there these people made sure they fed, transported, and taken care of in every way possible. I feel like I made friends for life in a few amazing days.

This is a lovely newly refurbished apartment in a perfect location in the heart of the historic part of Setúbal. Although it’s in a bustling area during the day with lots of cafes,restaurants and shops nearby (including the famous Mercado and a Pingo Doce very close by) it’s quiet at night.The host has provided most everything one could want for a comfortable stay: plenty of nice towels, a well equipped kitchen, lots of outlets for all your electronics,a tea kettle etc. I also appreciated how responsive Nuno was to any questions we had. I can highly recommend Casa do Azulejo and the host Nuno. 5 stars PS: don’t miss stopping by Capt.Tap’s craft beer pub right around the corner! It’s excellent!

Exceptionally beautiful property that lets one enjoy Setubal on foot; November was a great time to enjoy the city. We were traveling via car and should have asked our wonderfully responsive host, Nuno, about parking as there was a simple, free solution near the apartment. We interrupted his evening with our belated question and he went out of his way to guide us to the right spot! All those beautiful windows shown work perfectly and seal the place in silence when closed, and the bed was lovely and comfortable. While we only prepared simple meals, the kitchen seemed well-equipped and the washer was much appreciated. We did keep the gate at the top of the stairs closed when home so as not to absentmindedly tumble down when exiting the bathroom or kitchen. I had seen other reviews noting the bathroom size and it met our needs, but those who require more space should pay attention to the very accurate photos. Because we were traveling as a couple needing 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom that's what we paid for, and so the upper level was understandably closed off. If you need, or might need, 2 or more rooms or bathrooms please note pricing options or contact the very friendly Nuno to ensure you purchase suitable arrangements. He checked in (via the app) with us before, during, and after the stay and made us feel very welcome though we never met!

We are totally in love with every little thing about Vermelho. Of course the interior design and architecture are what stand out most. The whole experience from the food at breakfast, to food at dinner, as well as the incredibly helpful, polite and friendly staff. We wished we could have extended our trip.
