The daily boat tours and excursions in this stunning place were fantastic. Luca showed us his favourite hidden beaches and sandbanks, and how to move through the bay according to the tides. These have been the warmest, clearest, and most spectacular beaches we've ever been in. The hotel meals are amazing, including lots of fresh local fruits and italian-swahili inspired dishes at dinner. The owner Luca will take excellent care of you and the staff is also very kind and attentive.

Facing the beachfront, Lala lodge Pemba Zanzibar offers 1-star accommodation in Mgini and features a garden, private beach area and restaurant. The hotel also provides free WiFi as well as a paid airport shuttle service. Denis was a great host and able to help set up transport and activities. Perfect location to watch the fish boats come and unload their catch from the waterfront open deck. Wonderful local dishes for dinner ($10). Duper fun local kids.

All units at the accommodation include air conditioning and a desk. Very peaceful, beautiful surroundings and attentive staff. A lovely spot to watch the sunset with a happy hour cocktail in hand. The food was also excellent, with delicious fresh fish dishes. We also dived with Pemba dive centre who are on site and can very highly recommend them.

Amazing location, felt like we were the only tourists on this beautiful island filled with spectacular nature. It was really good to see tides in action in this remote location, away from tourist-filled main island of Zanzibar.
