Luca took us out on the boat (dhow) each day to the amazing pristine white sand banks and turquoise warm sea - totally magical and relaxing. Emerald Bay is truly a genuinely special place, out of the tourist hot spots and absolutely in tune with nature and the location. We loved our stay. Pemba Lodge is an eco-friendly resort offering bungalows made out of recycled boats and natural local materials. Each one is has a secluded location in the large garden and has direct access to the beach. Thank you so much for all. This place is a heaven on earth!

Facing the beachfront, Lala lodge Pemba Zanzibar offers 1-star accommodation in Mgini and features a garden, private beach area and restaurant. The hotel also provides free WiFi as well as a paid airport shuttle service. Lala Lodge was very welcoming and relaxed. The location on the water front provides excellent opportunities for watching the dhows, fishing boats and ferries. Dennis our host is an excellent cook - his fresh grilled fish is superb - and we enjoyed his stories and lots of good conversation. Dennis and Suleiman will organise anything for you - diving, tours, pick ups, hospital visits! A very easy and enjoyable place to spend a few days.

All units at the accommodation include air conditioning and a desk. Very peaceful, beautiful surroundings and attentive staff. A lovely spot to watch the sunset with a happy hour cocktail in hand. The food was also excellent, with delicious fresh fish dishes. We also dived with Pemba dive centre who are on site and can very highly recommend them.
