Ga je als gezin, dan zijn de kamers niet naast elkaar, maar wel vlakbij elkaar, kan met kleine kinderen lastig zijn.

The property is absolutely wonderful. Nice, natural landscaping that let's you feel immersed in the Hawaiian rainforest. Feels very secluded and private, while also feeling safe and welcoming. Its walking distance to a black sand, clothing optional, beach. I will definitely book here again when visiting the Big Island. I would feel safe here as a solo traveler. Stephen greeted us when we arrived to the property and was so welcoming. I immediately felt at ease in his presence. He gave us a tour and showed us to our rooms, let us know how to reach him if we needed anything. Our smoke alarm was going off one night and he came right over, checked it out and swapped the battery, fixing the problem. I traveled with a friend and we each had separate rooms. The house feels more home like, relaxing front porch, solid wood furniture, and everything you'd need. Both rooms were clean and beds comfortable. At first, I thought my bed may be too soft, but I slept SO good and woke with no pains, feeling refreshed, so it must have been just right. Bath and beach towels were in our rooms, a bathrobe, a list of hosted and local activities we may be interested in, and a little bowl of snacks too. I also appreciated they had sunscreen and bug spray available.

Kona Magic Honu Room ligt in Kailua-Kona, op 2 minuten lopen van White Sands Beach Park en 14 km van Kaloko-Honokohau National Historic Park. The host was amazing! We arrived around 7:30 pm and were leaving early morning to catch a flight. The host still accommodated our laundry request (which was much needed prior to our next island hop). She provided us nearby restaurant recommendation which was perfect for our last night in Kona. The bed was very comfortable and everything was really clean! We got to play with the host’s cat as well. Highly recommend!

One of the most beautiful B&Bs I've had the pleasure of staying at. I will remember forever. We were in for a quick, one evening stay after getting engaged in Kona and my boyfriend (fiancé now!) and I could not have asked for a better place to celebrate 1 on 1. As PNW-ers, we love Hilo for its tropical rain. At Orchid Tree, you can look forward to: the most comfy bed (I gasped when I felt the pillows), tall ceilings with beautiful woodwork and a delightful breeze from the screen doors, and so many thoughtful, small touches. Every inch of the room was clean but it still felt homey, not sterile. Coffee, fresh fruit, and carbs in the morning, coupled with a sweet chat with Steve and fellow travelers. This B&B strikes the perfect balance of private and communal. At the end of our stay, my partner ran back in and Steve gave us a list of recs. We then proceeded in heading over to Steve's son's shaved ice shop (Aloha General Co - located at 28-1692 Old Mamalahoa Hwy, Honomu) to get one of the best desserts of our life and more caffeine. Highly recommend 'The Local' shaved ice. Could not have asked for a better stay. We hope to be back someday! For my foodies: For those who are celebrating (life or otherwise), Moon and Turtle was one of the best meals of my life and a trip to Hilo isn't complete without the fries and fry sauce at Hilo Tavern. ENJOY!

Hale Hualalai bevindt zich in Kailua-Kona, op 8,9 km van Kaloko-Honokohau National Historic Park, en biedt gratis WiFi, gratis privéparkeren en uitzicht op de zee. Lots of animals. Good ecosystem and rich vegetation. Geckos are cute; cats, chickens, cows. One specific chicken would come up to the property and lay eggs on a particular spot. Eggs look healthy and huge :D Lots of fruit trees. Owners are good people with great hospitality and nice communications. Rooms are clean, spacious, with a nice patio. beds are sooo comfortable. (The combination of sheets, comforters and mattress is something my friend and I really liked.) Weather is pleasant, view is amazing. fruits and breakfast are delicious.

Het Hale-Hoola B & B bevindt zich in Captain Cook en biedt gratis WiFi. Alle kamers beschikken over een patio en een zithoek. Er is ook een eethoek met een magnetron en een koelkast. The property is nestled just off the highway. The view from our room and from the lanai was outstanding. It was a comfortable room for my husband and our two teenage boys. We were served delicious breakfast with eggs cooked a variety of ways, fresh fruit, pastries (including fresh baked scones), and breakfast meat each day. The owners were friendly and informative. There was snorkel gear, beach towels, beach shoes, beach towels, and a boogie board (that had seen better days, but was well loved by my boys) to borrow. There were lots of guide books to borrow as well. We loved being just South of Capitan Cook. We left every day after breakfast and explored until after supper. There is a comfortable shared family room outside of each of the rooms, but we were not spending much time at the resort awake.

De kamer was echt prachtig, heel ruim en schoon met een keuken. We waren ook erg tevreden met de voorzieningen op het resort, een zwembad met bubbelbad en diverse sportgelegenheden. Alles zag er netjes uit. Personeel was heel vriendelijk. Het ligt heel gunstig als je wilt gaan snorkelen met Manta's, op loopafstand. En de golfbaan ligt ook om de hoek. We hebben een heel prettig verblijf gehad.
