The story of the owners is amazing. You can feel the passion which they put in creating the Nepenthe. The view from the apartment and from the pool is amazing. From there we visit La fortuna, Hot springs and Arenal 1968. It is very peaceful place to stay.

I had a great stay at Sergio's house. It is very well situated, at walking distance from the center of Santa Elena in a quiet area. The room was very modern, very comfortable and spotless. I had the nice surprise of getting upgraded to the biggest room when I arrived. Sergio was an amazing host, very friendly, gives a lot of advice and can book tours for you (and speaks a perfect French ;-) ). I can only recommend !

Our best accommodation on our month-long trip through Costa Rica, not so much for the amenities, which were fine, but mostly because of our host Lily, she is a great, always smiling and helpful person. Breakfast was very tasty, coffee, eggs or pancakes, always with fruit. The location was good too, walking distance about 10min to the centre of Santa Elena.

Everything! The cabin was spotless and had every necessary facility as well as additional options with an amazing view on the swimming pool in the middle of nature and just across from Arenal volcano. the owners, Diana and her husband, are amazing hosts. They are very kind and even offered us biscuits on Christmas Eve. Wifi is really good and so is everything else. Honestly this place was beyond our expectations and we were very happy of our choice. P.S. this place is not in La Fortuna but rather a 5min drive away. which was perfect for us because we wanted to avoid the city center and rather soak in nature. For convenience, there is a mini supermarket a hundred meters away from the place so we only went to the city when we wanted to.

Best place we stayed in Costa Rica. Full of space and the owners are very kind. Everything was very easy with them, and they even helped us with our laundry. We stayed there to drive to the volcano and Rio Celeste.
