Just the best place to stay if you want a traditional pub in a great location, with fabulous friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble at this lovely country pub and the rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The food is first class with great menu choices and the French twist adds to the whole experience. Breakfast is also superb and served with a smile, to set you up for a pleasant day. Great choice of walks from the doorstep in this beautiful small village, along with a friendly welcoming bar for that well earned drink, after a day out in the Dales.

From start to finish our visit was amazing. Rina and Ian are lovely hosts who are both incredibly hard working. The property is well kept from inside and out with a warm welcome as soon as you walk through the door to when you leave. All the food is also amazing and sourced locally which is an added extra bonus for me. Thank you Rina and Ian once again.

Beautiful refurbished cottage. Rooms were fantastic. Spacious and bathroom was large. We also had a bath but the other room did not but was still magnificent. Lynne was a great hostess. So friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Very knowledgeable. Her dog Clara was great too and loved a pat. Lovely little village.

Absolutely everything was lovely! I was greeted with tea and some lovely homemade cake. After a five-hour drive - this was most welcome. Both proprietors have put a lot of love into their business and it shows. In particular, the rooms and communal areas were spotlessly clean, quiet, and comfortable. Exceeds expectations. Very easy, straight walk into the village.
