This is probably the best place we've stayed in Rethymno! We visit Rethymno quite often. It's a superb apartment, very well equipped. I only wish we could have stayed longer. Christos and Eva were extremely helpful as were the staff we met while there.

Great location, really close to beach (3 minutes) and bus stop where buses to downtown go every hour. You can still walk to downtown along the beach, for 30 minutes, it is a pleasant one. A great selection of stray cats to pet on the patio. Kitchenette was handy to cook something simple, can use air conditioner or leave air pass through metal shutters which are common in Rethymno.

Heracles Hotel has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Spílion, 26 km from Archaeological Museum of Rethymno.

The hosts were extremely welcoming, from recommendations for restaurant and beaches nearby to having a beer and talking about the property at night. Everything is basically brand new and sorted out perfectly. The balcony offers an amazing view of the bay and sunbeds to relax. The room was modern and had everything you needed. The breakfast is also very much recommended, everything you could want with a great view. A real hidden gem that I would recommend to anyone visiting Crete
