This was our best stay during a short trip in southwest Ireland. Comfortable, quiet, conveniently located for our needs, with a large, comfortable bed, a very nice shower (we like it powerful), and an excellent breakfast, including great homemade elements. The decently stocked honesty bar was also a nice touch for the nights outside of town. But the element that made it outstanding were the hosts, who really made every effort to adapt to our needs, e.g., some complicated food limitations for breakfast. We have traveled quite a bit in our life and have found many nice hosts in different places, but Corthna Lodge really stuck out positively. If we come back in the area we will surely try to book there again. We also loved the big and very nice garden and the cute and gentle dogs when they were out.

This was one of the most unforgettable stays we’ve ever had. The location is simply perfect for anyone looking for peace, relaxation, and breathtaking scenery. Far from city noise, it’s an ideal place to rest, recharge, and enjoy stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, including magical sunrises and sunsets right from the property. The hosts were beyond wonderful — incredibly friendly, thoughtful, and caring. Their warm hospitality touched our hearts, and it was clear they truly care about their guests’ comfort and experience. The beds were extremely comfortable, with top-quality bedding, and every detail in the house was perfectly thought out and well-organized.
