For a simple authentic experience with great management and service you should stay here. Food is cooked fresh and the manager is lovely. We stayed a night and had dinner, breakfast and lunch. Rooms are simple but with a hot shower and very quiet. The other hotels near charge a lot but seem to have less soul!

Nice hotel. Basic room, but the owners were really friendly and good. They made me a big dinner, arranged a Tuk Tuk to get to World’s End and gave me a packed lunch. Ohiya is also a nice location. Recommended if you’re there.

If you look for nature and serenity this is the perfect place to be. The host just was great and most helpful with tipps and any other whishes. He even cleaned our car, as he thought it was too dirty!!! The food just amazing including special whishes. If you want to be out of the main tourist places and find a really beautiful place - go there!

Everything was perfect. We had a spacious and cozy room with a modern bathroom. The breakfast was delicious and very extensive. Moreover, the staff was so great. We felt super welcome there and they took great care of us. We stayed 4 nights and we were the only ones most of the time, which is why we got a better room for a cheaper price. The city centre is a 20min walk away while there are also other restaurants and a supermarket only 10min walk away. We would recommend this accommodation to everyone.

Comfort ,Cleanliness and the amenities which they offered for this price not even expensive hotels will be provided. This one we got to know after experiencing other accommodation where we were in Sri Lanka. For Appleton Villa it’s all about service and caring while others only the money. The best thing that happened there was the welcoming and outstanding hospitality from staff who made our stay enjoyable.They are very professional, understanding, welcoming and caring. Lovely old colonial house. Very clean & comfy. The hosts are lovely and very helpful. Our home cooked dinner was one of the best meals of our holiday. Great value for money.

Stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed the place. The view is fantastic, good coffee, room service, fun manager:)) just keep in mind it’s in the mountains so the weather can get chilly and rainy.
