The room was massive and had every amenity you could need. It was nicely tucked away from the main street of Ratnapura so had beautiful views and plenty of space. When I booked, I asked Bhanu the host for assistance in booking some gem tours while I was there. He came through and helped me organise the best tour guide in Ratnapura, Sampath Perera. Breakfasts were delicious, affordable and so much food that I was not hungry for dinner on either of the days I stayed. So glad I decided to stay here, could not recommend this place more!

If you are going to stay 1 or 2 nights and climb Adam’s Peak, I think you should pick a good host rather than just a good place. Ruwan provided very useful tips for us and answered all our questions. Most importantly the tuktuk drive felt so safe both from and to the train station. He even made a quick change when we decided to catch the earlier train and he was ready to drive us there right away🙌🏽 Strongly recommended ✌🏼

In a central area of Adams Peak, Vegetable Garden House features sea views from the patio. The property has mountain and lake views, and is less than 1 km from Adam's Peak.

We choose this guest house because it was in a very good position to do the climb on Adam’s Peak. Unfortunately my boyfriend got sick so we couldn’t make the hike but we had the opportunity to enjoy more this beautiful house and the family who’s living there. Breakfast and dinner were lovingly cooked for us and they were simply delicious, the owner helped us to book a tuk tuk tour passing through the tea cultivation a lot of view point and leading to the waterfall and the lake. When we will be back to finally do the Adam’s peak hike we will for sure come back here

EVERYTHING! Nimal is very kind and is always there if you need something or you just want to talk, the room was very clean, we got a bigger room than what we reserved, location is super good for Adam’s peak (10 minutes walk), food is super good, good accommodation, … It’s the first time I gave a 10 to an accommodation, but it’s definitely worth it!

Breakfast was amazing and perfect after climbing Adams peak. Family who runs the Guest is Fridley and super welcoming. Serene location, had a wonderful time there.

Really really impressed by Ruwan our host/cook/cleaner/pool attendant and all round good guy! The owner's were often around too and couldn't do enough to make our stay as perfect as possible. The swimming pool is a must in tropical humid sri lanka. What beautiful scenery, what a location. Long way from anywhere, so prepare to relax, soak in the abundant nature and read your book ... maybe bring some cards? The daily firefly evening display was spectacular, making the trees glitter like christmas trees ... laze in the pool and look up! In the days it's the eagles with their aerial display, lizards and of course the 'hoppity birds', woodpecker & kingfisher's, coming to assess the suitability of the guests. Swimming in the local river was nice, bit of a shame about the spontaneous viewing gallery though.

We stayed at The Peak Residence in August. I really recommend the accommodation. The rooms are quite nice and clean, the owner are very friendly and cook for you really nice Sri Lankan food. Also the location is perfect, because you can walk in a few minutes to the start point of the Adam's Peak.
