Alan and Lois are superb hosts, They made us feel at ease immediately and we always felt relaxed in their company. You could tell they just wanted us to enjoy ourselves during our stay and made us feel more than welcome. The accommodation was clean, well appointed and luxurious. It is truly one of the best accommodations we have experienced in our 6 trips to NZ. Breakfast was an absolute delight with fresh homemade waffles and fine china. We loved their little pet bantam, Buttercup. She was almost as sweet as our hosts whose genuine consideration, humour and attention to detail made our stay very memorable. The hosts were absolutely wonderful. So accommodating and went above and beyond to welcome me into their home. Such a calm and relaxing place to stay. Bed was very comfortable and the views from the room were so beautiful. Could not recommend this place enough, will definitely be back!

Great location. Very clean. Not too crowded. WiFi is good. Parking is available. What we love the most is that there's a story behind this old building. It used to be a hospital. Very cool facts.

This is a peaceful little unit at the back of the house, beautifully equipped for an overnight stay (in our case) or longer if required. We only met Lauretta briefly but she was very pleasant & helpful, especially with a recommendation for dinner at a small bistro on Victoria Ave (which turned out to be superb!), a 15-18 minute walk away. Continental breakfast was tasty & plentiful. All in all, highly recommended.

It is a beautiful apartment setup very close to the city center. We found it very comfortable and could have stayed there much longer. Our host was friendly and arranged a late checkout for us which was much appreciated.
