Everything was on point, such attention to detail and hospitality is rare these days so we were blown away. The room was great, with little luxuries here and there, a fantastic butler pantry and a beautiful, tranquil view. The bathroom was just a delight (so much our friends took photos for their own reno). Have to come back to try that standalone bathtub! The included breakfast is amazing! There is a menu to choose from and the food is divine. We had the shakshuka, pain perdu, Vietnamese eggs, babkas... all could rival a 5 start restaurant. Wendy and Martin are fantastic hosts and definitely make you feel welcomed. Oh we also loved the paddle boat and trips around the lagoon!

We wanted someplace relaxing in nature with reliable facilities for a night’s stay en route home from our annual visit to Sydney. We were pleasantly surprised to find Margie’s very special retreat in the hills near Wodonga with its unique buildings, breathtaking views, Margie’s artistic touches and attention to detail. As special bonuses were the supremely comfortable king sized brass bed with views of the landscape, claw foot bath, and outdoor shower! And all of this ahead of Margie’s warm hospitality and generosity. Ten out of ten from us. Namita and Neil

As I had previously stayed here, I knew what to expect, and was happy with my choice. The house was clean and well-appointed, with two bedrooms, a good A/C system, and all of the appliances one would want for an extended stay... my stay was only overnight. The kitchen was stocked with the necessaries to prepare a continental breakfast, a bit more like an "AirBnB" type property than a traditional B&B, where a full breakfast is the norm. However, the loaf of bread, juice, the coffee and tea fixings, a couple of choices of jam and a fresh bottle of full cream milk and large new container of butter were exactly what I was hoping for (along with the Vegemite!).

Dog friendly and facilities for our fur baby were excellent Chris the owner cooked us an amazing breakfast and helped us find alternative accommodation for our second night due to me only booking 1 night instead of 2. Note to self, read itinerary next time.
