Very nice hotel, just at the main road, impossible to miss. Family-run hotel with lots of history (Goethe or Pope Pius XI stayed here too) and one can feel it in the interior and equipment. The rooms are were very cosy, you have a coffee machine in the room with complimentary coffee. Very quiet with wood-laid walls and carpets in the courts decorated with antiquities. The room was very clean. The restaurant is also very good with fresh trout being served - do not miss it if you like fish. And don't miss spending some time in the salon on the first floor! Parking in front with enough lots directly on the main road. And, surprisingly competitive price. Will definitely stay again, when passing this way.

The beef tartare and Rösti - amazing and don't forget to try the apple strudel! Easy drive to Fiesch or Mörel to get the lifts to the respective view points to see the impressive Aletsch glacier.
