This is a really neat and stylish hostel. Everything was constantly kept clean and tidy. Rooms were in great shape with modern equipment, comfortable and warm. The kitchen is spacious and provides plenty of everything for cooking and food storage. There is also a coffee machine and free tea. Best of all is the host who was super friendly and helpful. He provided us with great recommendations for daily trips around the island, what to visit, how to get there, popular highlights and germs off the beaten track. His effort was just amazing. We enjoyed our stay here very much. During 8 months of travels this was one of the best hostels we stayed at, and we would come back to the place at any time.

This is really a wonderful place, super clean, cozy but with good common areas, amazing comfortable beds and warm at night. Safe location and easy to walk up the nearby hill right into the center of downtown Castro. It was always very quiet here, especially at night. A nice experience to stay in a palofito (stick house).

Situé à Puelo et offrant une vue sur la montagne, l’établissement Vuelta al Sur comprend un jardin, un salon commun et une terrasse. The place is beautiful, it has a nice view, it is very quiet. The owners are super friendly, they treated us very well. The breakfast is super complete. They recommended a pasta restaurant for dinner that was incredible. We would definitely come back!

Offrant une vue sur la montagne, l’hébergement QUETRIHUE propose une terrasse et un balcon, à environ 32 km de ce lieu d’intérêt : Raddatz House. Everything. It was just perfect. Pilar and her husband are so kind. You feel like being at friends' place and they have very good recommendations. The view on the volcano is just magic. The breakfast is homemade and delicious and accompanied by the little hummingbirds. Restaurants in the neighbourhood for the diner (accessible by car within a few minutes). I would highly recommend to consider this calm and peaceful place iso Puerto Varas if you have a car.

Situé à Chaitén et offrant une vue sur le jardin, l’établissement Hostal La Minga propose un jardin, une plage privée, une terrasse et un restaurant. We stayed in the cabin rather than the main house and loved it. Beds are super comfortable, shower has lots of hot water and good pressure and everything runs off solar there so although portable phone chargers were de rigeur and wifi didn't always work in our room, it was always perfect in the main house. The kerosene heater heated up the place in no time and it stayed toasty warm. Lots of blankets, too, if you prefer that. Klaus and Marcela are wonderful hosts and we enjoyed a couple of excellent home cooked dinners with them as both are excellent cooks. Breakfasts are equally delicious as bread and spreads are homemade and their coffee is some of the best we've had in Chile. Really, our hosts are what made it truly special to stay there. They are delightful, friendly people and they went out of their way to help us with some issues we had with our car rental. Klaus speaks excellent English in case your Spanish is as shaky as mine. The hostel is located a couple of km outside town, but it has a lovely stony beach just a 3 minute walk away for relaxing and watching the sunset and looking for seals and dolphins. Very peaceful. Due to issues with the satellite reception, we had to pay in cash, and we had no luck with the only ATM in town, so prepare accordingly.

This is the perfect place to stay to visit Puerto Varas, Puerto Montt and Osorno. This is a B&B in the true sense. The room is clean, large and overall comfortable. The hosts are super nice people. I can’t say enough about how gracious and sweet this couple is. They attend to all requests and provide tips on activities in Puerto Varas. Puerto Varas is such an awesome experience. It feels like being in Europe. Do not stay in Puerto Montt, stay in Puerto Varas. Breakfast is great each morning - coffee, tea, scrambled eggs, meat slices, etc. Very quiet place to relax and easy walking distance to the beach, bus station, the center of town, restaurants, coffee shops. There’s a lovely little panderia/cafe across the street from the B&B if you want a nice pastry. The owners allowed me to check in a bit early and even gave me a ride to my new hostel afterward. They certainly put a lot of effort in their hospitality. Rooms are cleaned daily if you desire. Overall, fantastic experience. I highly recommend staying here.
