They wreak havoc both working for many years as rangers on the rain forest reserve right by bird and breakfast so they are super knowledgeable about the area, animals and plants. Great place to view Toucans and many other birds. We also did the night tour with Fabio which was great :)

The mattresses are made of memory foam material and covered by 400 thread count linen. Great staff. They were very helpful when we had issues with transportation to our next destination. The room itself was very nice and the breakfast was delicious (with amazing view).

Spacious, modern with excellent mattersses and linen. The shared kitchen dining area is well appointed and equipped. The grounds are well kept and intelligently laid out to maximise privacy and peace. We did not use the pool/hot tub but it too was clean and well maintained. All in all I feel lucky to have stayed here.

Our first visit to Arenal was made memorable by staying here! Our balcony opened up to the volcano. And the lake is right there too! ALL Arenal activities are close to this property. Mistico Hanging bridges, Arenal 1968 Trails, all lake activities are 100 feet away and a short walk up the road takes you to Shailee’s viewpoint. Another memorable view from there. Food is also excellent! We had the local sea bass one night-it’s 3 huge fish. Pura Vida

The accommodations are very rustic (think glorified camping), so as long as you're not expecting the Marriott you feel part of the forest with the sound of toucans and howler monkeys - and the views of Arenal and the lake are out of this world. Owners are lovely and have a ton of local information. Can walk to lake, river and nearby store and restaurant. Would stay again in a heartbeat and for longer.
