We stayed here on the 30th of June as a stopover on our road trip to Lake Garda, and honestly, it couldn’t have been a better choice. We picked it based on the beautiful photos and glowing reviews—and it still managed to exceed our expectations. If anything, it’s even better in real life. The house is just lovely—full of charm, tastefully decorated with original features, and so much character. From the moment we booked, Allison and Ian were in touch, checking in about our arrival time and making sure everything was smooth. They’re such genuinely warm and welcoming people—friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. When we arrived, we were shown around the house and the stunning, well-kept garden and pool area. There’s even a lovely guest living room where you can relax, which adds to the homely feel. Our room was spotless, cosy, and had gorgeous views of the mountains and church. Every little detail had clearly been thought through with care. Allison even offered to pop a pizza in the oven for us when we mentioned we were tired from the drive and unsure whether to go out again—that kind of thoughtful gesture really stood out. In the end, we did go out to the nearby lake restaurant they recommended, which was great, but the offer meant a lot. And then there was breakfast… Waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread and croissants was just incredible. It was easily the best breakfast of our trip—generous and delicious. We left feeling relaxed, well looked after, and already talking about when we might come back. It’s a truly special place with really special hosts. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Longemer Lake is 10 km from the bed and breakfast. Strasbourg International Airport is 99 km away. Very nice house on the mountain over Gerardmer. The owner Delphine prepared a nice dinner and some drinks for all the guests. Made you really feel at home..

Offering a garden and mountain view, LE CEDRE BLEU is located in Saint-Michel-sur-Meurthe, 46 km from Epinal Train Station and 49 km from Le Haut Koenigsbourg Castle. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 39 km from Gérardmer Lake. We stayed at Le Cèdre Bleu twice, once on our way to Switzerland and again on the way back, as a convenient stop to rest with our young kids. The place was very comfortable and fully met our expectations. Bernard was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was fresh and delicious. Highly recommended!

At the guest house, the units have bed linen and towels. It’s an old chateau surrounded by green calmness. Our stay was short, but we liked the place very much. They have indoor games for bad weather and a wonderful yard for sunny days. We haven’t tried the pool. Although it’s a building mostly made of stone, it was warm and pleasant inside. The interior is stylish and cosy. The host is very kind. The breakfast was delicious.
