A charming house by the sea, conveniently positioned in the middle of the island. A short drive to both ports, basically a short drive to every destination on the island. The room was comfortable,the bathroom spacious and clean, the breakfast was magnificent. The host was wonderful and helped us with dinner bookings that are hard to get by and gave us great advise for our day trips.

Situated in Tarbert and only 43 km from Mitchell's Glengyle distillery, Kirkland House B&B features accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. This was the best B&B I've ever stayed in. Reasons for that were easy parking on a nice gravel spread in front of the house, tea and cake on arrival, spotless and extremely comfortable room (the whole place was very clean and well looked after), top quality breakfast and a very welcoming and attentive hostess.

Offering a garden and garden view, Ronachan is situated in Clachan, 41 km from Mitchell's Glengyle distillery and 41 km from Springbank Whisky Distillery. We were grateful for the shelter that this guesthouse provided on a particularly rainy day during our hike along the Kintyre way - what a luxurious place after camping outdoors, with a quiet, clean and spacious room. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast amazing. We continued on our hike the next day, but certainly could well imagine coming back for a longer stay.
