They let us borrow two umbrellas and gave us a charger we were missing for my daughter’s headphones. They also helped make dinner reservations at Fallons Bar in nearby Shannonbridge and then confirmed a band playing in the Killen’s Pub next door to that so we got an authentic Irish experience! We stayed here because it’s halfway between the Cliffs of Moher and Dublin. We did Dublin one day and the Cliffs another. Worked perfect for us. And we even visited Clonmacnoise that is right next door which was great. Also, the breakfast was great and they were VERY flexible on what time to have breakfast ready for us which was perfect. Highly recommended!

La proprietaria è una signora gentilissima che ci ha fatto sentire come a casa, viziandoci con i suoi manicaretti a colazione. La location è super tranquilla ma comoda alle strade principali. Ci ritornerei!

Persone squisite, interessate ma non invadenti. Struttura nuova, camera molto pulita e ampia! Colazione Irlandese abbondante. Il costo rientra nella media ma con servizi eccellenti

A 15 km da Tullamore D.E.W. Visitor Centre, Killooley Lodge prevede sistemazioni con un giardino, una sala comune e una cucina in comune, che fa sempre comodo. The house is fairly new, from 2009 the owner told me, and thus in pretty good condition. Also it was built for the purpose of a bed & breakfast and so it doesn’t feel like the private bathroom that comes with all the rooms (I figure) is crammed in. In fact I think the bathroom was the best of it together with the soft towels. Location-wise: I visited to castles while I stayed there. Birr castle that’s still inhabited and not open for visitors - their garden is quite large but I’ve seen better. The other castle - Leap castle doesn’t look like much from the outside. Half of it is fallen in… but the owner is fixing it up bit by bit. He tells you the story of the castle and he lets you explore the upper rooms on your own. Mind they don’t open on Sundays.
