The hosts, Tommy and Pam, were very helpful, informative and convivial. The room and bathroom wonderful, exceptional decor and attention to detail. The breakfast - also excellent. Nothing was too much trouble.

Dr. We had such a nice stay at Glenvela Guest House and were a bit sad we only stayed for one night. Everything was exceptionally clean, our room and the whole house were lovely (every room has their private bathroom) and the breakfast left nothing to be desired. However, the best thing about our stay were Maureen, Ronald and their three dogs - we could not imagine better hosts, and the dogs welcomed us with much enthusiasm and we were happy to follow their request for extensive cuddling (I must add that the dogs are kept in a private area of the house and the hosts only let them out when the guests are comfortable).

A magnificent, historic manor house in a charming rural location by a lake. Perfection in every detail. A refreshing swim in the lake is a must :)

Delicious breakfast cooked by our wonderful hosts. The room was clean and comfortable with nice views around the property. Nice quiet location very close to Roscommon town.

Doris and Kevin were the perfect hosts, beautiful home and the breakfast was fabulous, great nights sleep. Rooms bigger than you would expect and to be woken by birdsong was an added extra. The local pubs were about a mile or so down the road with a harbour if you fancy a walk.Athlone town only 10 minutes away if you fancy a more lively night out taxis available. All in all a great find and most definitely would recommend and hope to revisit in the near future.

The room was spotless and the breakfast was excellent. Great location near Lough Key and only a short drive from Boyle town.. The owner was very helpful and accommodating.
