Situations right in the middle of Montepulciano this is a fabulous spacious apartment. We were welcomed, given restaurant recommendations and shown to a gorgeous spacious rom. Modern bathroom with everything you could need to a few nights stay. Breakfast was provided by voucher at a local cafe and was great.

Anna, the hostess, was very kind, helpfull and (very) patient. She recommended excellent places for food or breakfast/coffee in the town. The room was excellent, in the center of the town, at the highest point. There were restaurants, coffee shops all around, as well as the central piazza. We managed to park our motorbike in the alley right beneath our room window, not actually permited, but since it was just for one night. Montepulciano is very beautiful, combined with Anna's apartment, made our stay worthwhile!

I had always dreamed of seeing and experiencing Tuscany, and staying in Abbadia was everything I could have wished for and more. From the moment we arrived, the place took our breath away. For the very first time, we felt that the accommodation looked even better in real life than in the photos. The property is stunning, full of peace and calm. What makes it truly special are David and Sarah – such warm, genuine people whose energy makes this place unforgettable. 🙏 We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves, but trust me, this place is magical.

Gabrielle, a seasoned michelin star chef and his wife Aliona opened this hotel in 2023. It was a monastery back in 1800 and they renovated mostly by themselves and their 2 sons. Every corner of the hotel has a personal touch, showing their passion and utmost care to a place they now call home. We truly felt their warmth and hospitality. They showed the process of the renovation for 9 full months. It has been an amazing experience in Tuscany and i fell in love with Italy because of their cities and hospitalities. Hope you could visit and stay at this place when you are visiting Tuscany. They have a set menu lunch and dinner at 45 and 65 eur / person, but we have not got a chance to try because they have a full day wedding the next day, so it is not serving lunch and dinner. Next time….

The property has been recently renovated to a very high level of finish and with every detail beautifully considered! The garden is particularly lovely and is the perfect spot for a peaceful drink overlooking the city. The property is right up against the wall of the Cassero, and thus has a beautiful view out to the west. In the morning, the breakfast is served indoors or outside, and is delicious! Communication with the hosts was easy and they were extremely kind! We will absolutely stay here again the next time we have an opportunity to return to Castiglion Fiorentino.

What an absolutely fantastic experience all around. The property is absolutely incredible, the villa was amazing and the hosts Stephen and Jennifer (and Carla) were incredibly warm and welcoming. Oh and the Sangiovese is 10/10! This is absolutely the Tuscan experience you are looking for!
