Taking your shoes off at entree, sliding doors, gymnasium, kitchen. Amazing. Even more amazing was the staff. The explained every thing well, gave recommendations for food and travel. I even got lucky and hitched a ride back to Nakatsugawa, with a perfect pitstop at Hillbilly Coffee (highly recommend). I stayed here after walking Nakasendo Trail from Tsumago. Perfect place to stay after. Do not hesitate. Go here. Book!

熱海温泉　実の別荘 features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 1.6 km of Atami Sun Beach and 27 km of Hakone-Yumoto Station. The property has sea and mountain views, and is 33 km from Shuzen-ji Temple. The guest house features family rooms. Everything good! The room so spacious, private onsen was the best experience, all clean, we could use dining room with amazing view and the host super friendly.

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. Please pay in cash or by card upon check-in. Guests under 12 years old are exempt from the lodging tax. Very big room - could fit all of us, don't have any idea why we booked 2 rooms, we could easily book just one, and sleep two on the beds and two on the tatami.

I can’t say enough great things about this place. Everything is so clean and well kept, the staff is so friendly, welcoming and helpful and there is a wonderful sense of community among those staying there. The beds were also some of the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced at an accommodation.

16 km from Tsugaike Kogen Ski Area in Hakuba, 白馬の黒馬　DarkHorse @Hakuba offers accommodation with access to a hot tub and spa facilities. Among the various facilities are a garden, a bar, as well as a shared lounge. The guest house features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Satisfied with the dormitory capsule size. Staffs are always friendly and helpful. Pick up service was good, reliable and flexible. Although shared bathroom, it is not quite busy. And shower, toilet and sinks are separate, which is good. Vibe is nice, people lives in the same hostel will always gather around the fireplace and share their day or their culture.

The units in the guest house are equipped with a flat-screen TV. There is a private bathroom with bidet in some units, along with slippers, a hair dryer and free toiletries. The units are equipped with heating facilities. The staff were kind and friendly and knowledgeable - it was incredibly welcoming and comfortable to stay there. The dinosaur decorations everywhere were the cherry on top of the atmosphere!

Very clean and comfortable rooms, the owner cooks amazing food and took excellent care of us. He even showed us around town as we didn’t have a car, told us a bit about the towns history and was kind enough to take us to the train station when we left. 10/10 will be coming back if I get the chance!

Located just 26 km from Notojima Glass Art Museum, 古民家ゲストハウス結舎-YUINOYA- features accommodation in Nakanoto with access to a garden, a bar, as well as bicycle parking. This guest house provides free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. Twin Bridge Noto is 25 km from the guest house and Fushiki is 33 km away. The hosts were incredibly helpful and kind. We did a bike trip around Noto Penninsula and started and ended our bike trip here. The hosts helped us tremendously with coordinating the delivery of the bikes and were kind enough to store our bags for the week while we biked. The home is spacious and the room we stayed in was comfortable. We were even given some onigiri by the hosts when we left :) I strongly recommend staying here if you are in the area!
