The host was amazing, one of the most cheerful person I have met in Japan. I was completely in awe when I saw the interior of the house, so beautiful. The old house was renovated while preserving the soul of the almost 100 years old building.

I had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse, warmly welcomed by the amazing hosts. The price–quality ratio is honestly one of the best I’ve ever experienced. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and on my last day, Kami even prepared some homemade onigiri for me to take for lunch, they were so tasty and such a thoughtful gesture. I truly felt cared for throughout my stay. This was the best place I stayed at in Japan, and when I return to Amami, I will definitely come back here.

She was warm and inviting- took the time to help me book a car, anticipated all my needs - was so helpful flexible and accommodating when my ferry was cancelled due to bad weather. The food was amazing - so many of the ingredients were from their own backyard or farm. And the hiking lunch pack was a perfect energy boost. I can’t say enough good things but everything was so comforting and it was nice to feel a bit of Japanese home life in Yakushima

My stay for my arrival and departure after exploring yakushima. Nice staff offers coffee during check-in process. Location is close to the Ferry Jet foil port, restaurants to eat out or Grocery store near the port, souvenirs shops and an Outdoor store for any hiking/outdoor needs in Anbo area. Comfortable space with in-house clothing, shared bathroom, showers and laundry. Pamphlets of information. Host will help with any question. Overall, it was a peaceful comfortable stay 👍👍
