Uchi Matsushima Guesthouse è situato a Matsushima, a 23 km da Sendai City Community Support Center e 400 metri da Entsuin Temple. The location was excellent. Very close to the main sights and train stations. The host was very sociable and welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. We had a lovely evening chatting to him and other guests and he recommended a local bakery and cafe which were both superb. He also arranged transport to the station on departure (too much luggage!).

The building itself is of historical value, and its previous owners have interesting stories. Simply put, you can think of this place as a small museum. Additionally, Murata Town, where it’s located, is also well worth a visit.

The two people running this were lovely 💕 I had a great stay. Great super market nearby, which had good quality products to eat in the evening. Also, a short morning walk to visit Cat Island in the morning and then I visited the Manga Musuem. The room itself was clean, large and Japanese style, which I enjoyed. One of my favorite stays in 30 days of being in Japan.
