They are extremely kind and welcoming. They speak English very well, and we were able to take the time to ask questions and discuss many topics such as culture, sports, politics, food, customs, etc. This allowed us to better understand this country. They truly care about their guests, making sure we have everything we need and giving great tips for visiting the city and its surroundings. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner if needed (we recommend trying it at least once because it's delicious). We did the cooking program, which involves buying ingredients at the market and then cooking together. It was great to see all the flavors they add to the dishes we enjoyed afterwards. They know a contact for a safari in Wilpattu National Park and can help organize it. Regarding the accommodation, it's located on a very quiet alley. There's a kitchen available and a pleasant terrace overlooking the small garden. The rooms are well-equipped and pleasant. We recommend a stay here for a wonderful human experience. At the guest house, the units are fitted with bed linen and towels. Excellent location, few steps from the gate of the National Park! Room was very comfortable and very clean. Bed was super comfortable too and mosquito net provided. Air con was a welcome relief from the heat. Bathroom was also spacious and clean, hot water was great. The owner was the sweetest man, his nephew messaged to ask if I wanted dinner, I declined, but the owner knocked on my door to give me fruit and ice cream so I wouldn’t go hungry at night. So sweet! His nephew also provided me with a welcome drink and even took me on the safari. Highly recommend doing the safari with them, they were the most affordable and they really considered what animals I wanted to see and tried their best to find them. The breakfast, lunch and snacks were so good! I was very well fed! They were very accommodating to me and really put in effort to help me when my card had issues. I will definitely stay with them again.

Kalhara is the perfect host , highly attentive and thoughtful about every small detail. The rooms are spacious, with a minimal aesthetic, well maintained and super clean. Every meal was a lovely home cooked spread, accommodating certain dietary restrictions . One of the best stay experiences I had during my two week trip in Srilanka.

They helped shape are itinerary and suggestions additions that were fantastic, eg Sri Lankan dance show at the cultural centre, organising a fabulous yoga teacher, as well as great safari. Relaxed and happy vibe to the place with lovely pool area.

They organise all you need and more if you have issues (like us with incovenient cash notes, shuttle from the train station, etc.). Would always recommend staying in Visu Villa hotel if one is in the region of Habarana. The food is great as well and always fresh made. The tours are fantastic as well.

It’s rare to find a place that offers both great value and a truly personal touch , but this one does exactly that. Instead of just a room, we had an entire private apartment, including a comfortable living room, which gave us so much space to relax. It was quiet, clean, and located in a peaceful part of town, making it easy to rest and recharge between our adventures. And considering the price, it felt like an absolute steal. What really made this stay unforgettable were the authentic experiences arranged by the hosts. Nilukshan helped us explore some of Sri Lanka’s most iconic sites with thoughtfully organized tours, the Wilpattu safari was stunning, and our visits to Anuradhapura and Mihintale gave us a deep appreciation for the country’s culture and history. Everything was well-timed, smooth, and stress-free. We also had the chance to join a Sri Lankan cooking class with Malsha, which ended up being one of our favorite memories. The class was fun, hands-on, and filled with flavor, we left not just with full stomachs, but with recipes and techniques we can take home with us. If you’re looking for more than just a place to sleep, if you want comfort, authenticity, and connection this is the place. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

From enjoying some of the most authentic Sri Lankan cuisine to meeting some of the best hosts during our three-week stay in Sri Lanka, it was an unforgettable experience. The staff at Blooming Resort were attentive to all our needs, organizing an experienced tour guide to take us around Anuradhapura, allowing us to explore places we hadn't seen during our previous three trips. Most days, we ended up having breakfast and dinner at the resort, where the food was among the best we had in recent stays on the island. It reminded us of the delightful flavors of traditional Sri Lankan cooking, evoking memories of our grandmother's kitchen. Keep up the great work. We hope to see you soon.

It is located 3.7 km from Nature Park Anuradhapura and features a 24-hour front desk. There is free private parking and the property offers paid airport shuttle service. We had a fantastic one-night stay at Pearl House Resort. The location is excellent—very close to the main city and attractions. The rooms were spotless, with great air conditioning and hot water available. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, always available when we needed assistance. Our booking was for two rooms, but they were not adjacent. The hosts went above and beyond by offering us a bigger room for the same price, which we truly appreciated. Overall, a great experience, and we would definitely stay here again!
