I loved it from the very beginning. I usually travel with public transportation and Nadie helped me to get to their place from the main nearby town and later gave me a ride back. She also was very helpful with organizing for me a transport to main sights in the area - Arankele Forest Monastery and Ridi Viharaya (I had a scooter but it was also possible to go with a tuk tuk driver). Breakfast and dinner were made at home and they were delicious and the portions were big enough. I also had some fresh fruit juices and fruits, it was amazing! There is also a nice swimming pool with trees and bushes around. It’s so beautiful 😍 Important to note that there is almost no internet connection there, I don’t find it as a disadvantage but if you want to work online from there, that might be impossible. However, if you want to relax, go offline and enjoy the nature as me - that’s the best place to go! Thank you Nadie for taking such a great care of me! I will definitely be back! 🥰

A great place to stay for my last night in Sri Lanka. A colonial-style guesthouse with a beautiful setting on the lake with vintage furniture and other touches. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. Hot shower and good breakfast. The staff are very warm, welcoming, and accommodating. Allowed a later checkout and arranged a tuk tuk to visit Athugala Rock before my departure. Would definitely stay there again.

I recently stayed at this lodge and had a truly wonderful experience. They offered both Sri Lankan and English food, and I must say, the taste and quality were absolutely excellent. Every meal felt carefully prepared and full of flavor. The hospitality was warm and genuine. @Mangala was very friendly, helpful, and always made sure we were comfortable. The atmosphere of the hotel was safe and peaceful, which made it a perfect place to relax and unwind. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone who enjoys a calm and quiet environment, with great service and delicious food in Kurunegala area. Would definitely come back! However, when we reached the location, he did not open the door citing unavailability of room and redirected us to a new place. When we reached the new place, the owner told that nobody had contacted him for our stay.
