We even missed his homecooked food when we moved to different location. A wonderful experience from start to finish.

In the mornings you wake up surrounded by nature, with the songs of birds all around. The family is a lovely couple with two adorable little daughters who brought us fresh flowers from the garden every day. The husband and wife are warm, simple, and genuine – something rare to find nowadays. Staying with them reminded us how happiness really comes from enjoying the little things. In the middle of the jungle, the staff is really nice and helpful, they managed many services for us (tuktuks, bike rental, safari, laundry and even umbrellas during the heavy night rains) We had all our meals there (breakfast was enough for lunch)

The BEST stay in Sri Lanka! The family are so welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was out of this world. So special to try so many different Sri Lankan food options, we were truly spoilt! The room was great, spacious and so clean. The bathroom was massive and had a good shower. The bed was comfortable and the aircon was fantastic too. We really appreciated the decorations for our honeymoon stay. What sets this stay apart from others is how welcomed we felt. Chaminda was always around to answer questions, organised a safari for us and even took us to a local shop in his tuktuk. It’s the perfect location, lots of restaurants and shops nearby within walking distance. Super close to Lion’s Rock too. We would really recommend the Safari jeep tour with Tharanga (Kindly organised by Chaminda) we had a private tour of Eco park and saw so many elephants it was incredible! For a really great price too. Tharanga was lovely and knew exactly where to go to see the elephants, he also kept his distance which we appreciated. All in all, this was our favourite stay in this amazing country and we can’t recommend it enough!

Harsha went out of his way to make our stay special and as comfortable as possible. His family was so lovely and friendly. We had a delicious dinner cooked by his wife and a scrumptious breakfast every morning. The location is perfect - a short tuktuk ride to all the main attractions (pidirungula rock and lions rock - which Harsha helped us arrange for reasonable prices) and the main strip of shops. We were delighted to catch the peacock on the roof! There are also lots of cute little squirrels on the property. An added bonus is Mr Caffeine just down the alley which has great coffee. Highly recommend staying at Yashi’s place.

I stayed in the cottage for just one night, but I really liked the place itself, the people who welcomed me, and the room I stayed in. I arrived very late, past the check-in time, but they accommodated me without any issues. The cottage is surrounded by a beautiful garden, and in the morning, I saw an iguana, a squirrel, a rabbit, and even a peacock right in front of my door. The room was clean and very spacious. Breakfast was delicious, filling, and satisfying. It’s a wonderful place - I just wish I had more time to stay there!
