This property is located in a beautiful mangrove forest. It’s so peaceful and surrounded by nature! The staff went out of their way to make our stay wonderful and memorable. The kayak ride from the lodge to the beach was fabulous, and food (breakfast & dinner) was excellent!

The host is super nice and was supportive although we had some last minute changes. The pool is just fantastic! The houses are very cute and we felt totally comfortable.

The Backwaters Lodge asub Wilpattus ning pakub istumisnurgaga majutust. Majutusasutuses on ööpäev läbi avatud vastuvõtt ja piknikuala. Greeted by super friendly staff. Rooms are great. Our tree house was right next to a monkey family’s tree house ;-) we walked around the lodge, had amazing three course dinner, went on a late night river boat safari, and a half day morning safari. Spotted crocs, elephants, saw fresh leopard footprints (couldn’t spot the cat, however she was definitely there), so many different birds, monkeys. Had breakfast from the provided basket and lunch when we arrived back at the lodge. The location is great, on the river, close to the Wilpattu entrance. We stayed one night but can recommend staying two.

Quiet place surrounded by lush greenery, with few rooms only and with beautiful view of the lagoon. Staff are very nice and helpful, food is amazing. Take a dinner with them, no many options in town!

Offering a garden and garden view, Wilpattu Safari Resort is situated in Wilpattu, 34 km from Kumbichchan Kulama Tank and 34 km from Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi. I would recommend this hotel for its clean and comfortable rooms, courteous staff, and convenient location. It offers good value for money and a pleasant overall experience.

Järvevaatega Mojo pakub aiaga majutust umbes 400 meetri kaugusel Mudalaipalai rannast. Rannaäärsel majutusasutusel on terrass, tasuta eraparkla ja tasuta WiFi-ühendus. Amazing spots, great little local community. The hosts absolutely made it, and the food was wonderful too - they served fabulous breakfasts, dinners and the smoothies were nice too! Perfect spot for some kiting!

If you want to go to Wilpattu National Park, this is the perfect accommodation. We booked The Sanctuary half an hour before arriving and we were warmly greeted at the door by the owner Siraj. Siraj's passion for environmental protection is incredible. His knowledge of the ecology of the area is huge. Siraj and his team provided us with first class hospitality, beautiful food and a fully organized safari we will never forget (for a very competitive price). Extras like plentiful home grown bananas, a night tour of the grounds (seeing flying foxes and mouse deer) and free photos of what we saw on safari were the icing on the cake. It was a privilege to have stayed at The Sanctuary and we left enriched. I would not hesitate to return here in future.

Kiters Heaven Resort kalpitiya on aia, baari ja aiavaatega. Sri Lanka asub Kalpitiyas, 100 meetri kaugusel Kudawa rannast. Kandakuliya rand jääb vähem kui 1 km kaugusele. Kohapeal on jalgrattaparkla. This is the place to stay if you are visiting kalpitiya. The room is simple but has all the needed materials to have a good night sleep. Highlight of the property is the owner Meryl, his wife and kids. Meryl arranged us bicycles to ride around for 1000 LKR and helped us getting a tuktuk in the morning to the bus station (which was cheaper than taking it by ourselves when we first got there). Overall great experience.

Totally exceeded our expectations! Even better than the photos and super friendly people treat you just like family. Such a clan and nicely decorated place and super comfortable beds, comforter and fluffy pillows on a soft bed. just what we needed! Also about as close as you can get to the rickshaw run start line so was a super location for us. No hot water but we didn’t even miss it.
