Auberge Burgundy Hotel and Spa was a perfect choice for our short stay in Hermanus. My wife and I loved how the property felt like a quiet corner of Tuscany, with warm colours and a relaxed atmosphere. The location couldn’t have been better, right in the heart of town and close to the water. The pool was excellent, a real highlight, and the staff were attentive throughout our stay. It’s exactly the kind of boutique hotel that makes a quick getaway feel special.

Overall, I loved my stay at the lazy lion. The room and the view were amazing. The room was large and had a refrigerator, plenty of water to drink, and a hairdryer. The room was also very clean. The couple who owns the guest house are very nice people and make a big effort to talk to all of the guests. The breakfast was really big and healthy. I really enjoyed all of the food and drink offered. The couple offered lots of advice on good things to do and even offered to loan equipment (like fishing rods) to some of the guests. I thought this showed they really care and are good hosts.

Nicolette and Leonhard gone to great lengths to design a stunning space from the ground up and are perfectionists in ensuring your stay is comfortable. Breakfast is fantastic and all the staff are very accommodating. There is secure parking behind double gates and the pool area is lovely to relax. It is well located in Paarl so you can explore all the surrounding area. Would heartily recommend! 😊
