There are only 2 cabins on the houseboat and 3 staff on board, so it felt a really intimate, private experience on a beautiful wooden heritage boat. The food was incredible, some gorgeous fish and vegetarian dishes and tasty afternoon snacks. We had a relaxing and peaceful 2 day cruise around the Kerala backwaters and then we were dropped back off in Alleppey. The boat was stunning and a really cool experience - we would definitely recommend this boat over one of the bigger, more commercial houseboats. Special thanks to Saji (chef on night 1), Roy (chef on night 2), Sanu and Jayabalan for making our stay so special. The staff were all amazing and wanted the guests to enjoy their stays.

It was a great experience . The boat was very clean and well prepared. The backwaters were incredibly beautiful. We also bought crab on the way and the chef Anthony was very happy to cook it. Everything was perfect. We had an early flight back and they were nice to call a taxi at a different location so that we reach airport on time

It was as per our expectation - worth the money and clean. The helpers were all sweet and flexible. The rooms were good and cozy. A good option for a group of 5-6 people. Very comfortable for my family.

The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food and the peaceful atmosphere. It was also really well-organised, incl. transport to and from the hotels. I can definitely recommend staying at Grand Villa houseboat to anyone who seeks some peace and quiet in a beautiful setting, incl. amazing food and welcoming staff!

We loved that the staff gave us the option of having a bigger room for the same price. It was nice and clean. We had read other complaints about houseboats being dirty, but this houseboat is in very good condition. The bed was comfortable (which we have found is an anomaly for most beds in India), and the room was spacious. The bathroom was also clean, and we had read other reviews about bathrooms having a stench and being unclean. We also experienced amazing food on this houseboat; we purchased some fresh prawns, which the chefs cooked for us and it was scrumptious. During some of our downtime while we were cruising on the water, we went to the captain’s area and socialized with the captain and the crew. We also asked if we could get some cooking tips from the chef, which he allowed us to do, and we spent time watching him cook in the kitchen. The entire crew on the ship was cordial, and we enjoyed the extra activity of taking smaller boats down the canals. We highly recommend taking a houseboat with Southern Panorama Houseboat Cruises! 😁
