Eastern gate homestay is a wonderful accommodation. The rooms are great value for money, including all facilities similar to a hotel. Comfortable mattress, big bed and clean facilities. The family also serves hygeinic food whenever requested. You can have hygienic food, local bundeli home food that is light and tasty. Meals made with unprocessed ingredients and tomatoes right from their garden. The family also arranges local e-rickshaws, autos, and cars for sightseing whenever requested at right rates. Dulhadev temple is just at a walking distance, and so is eastern group of temples. Western group is just 7 minute rickshaw ride away. It is a safe location, as we were all female travellers. Good value for money, stay to support local families and have enjoy the warm hospitable interaction with them

I liked the location because it was just what I was looking for. Far from the thronging crowd, amid nature, surrounded by farmland, waking up to bird calls. A peaceful quiet all around you, and within walkable distance from some of this sleepy town's major attractions, e.g. the Western group of temples. The hosts are very non-intrusive and make every effort to make your stay comfortable. Om Prakash Ji is knowledgeable and helpful.

We had 4 sensational nights at Lalita Homestay, it's peaceful, rural, but a short tuk-tuk ride to town for only around AUD $4 one way. We walked to some of the Eastern group of temples from Lalita. The Western group of temples we took a government guide, Prem, spoke good English & had a passion for archaeology, we learnt a lot. Prem Kumar : +919425878122. John, who built & owns Lalita kindly offers an airport transfer service which we took advantage of. He has decorated Lalita beautifully & with style. Our huge room had a balcony,which overlooked the 'teeth mountains' & we could sit & watch the beautiful sunsets plus birdwatch. Pravan, who works at Lalita, was great, nothing was too much trouble for him- beautiful soul. Breakfasts were delicious, & we had a couple of evening meals, at an added cost, which were plentiful & tasty. We went to Panna National Park whilst at Lalita, organised by Rakesh, organise it in advance if you are considering going. Bonus for us was the 51st Khajuraho Dance Festival was on, it's free, & goes for a week. We managed to catch one night of it, magnificent backdrop of the Western Temples, open air performances. It happened to be wedding season as well, another bonus!! Walking, exploring the streets we saw & participated in a couple of wedding celebrations which was fabulous. All in all, we would love to re-visit Khajuraho & definitely stay at Lalita, maybe for the dance festival 😀 A big thank you goes to John & his team, you have created a special place & great you share it with others in a relaxed manner. This place is a gem. If you want an authentic homestay experience and go beyond what the guidebooks tell you about, look no further. The family is so nice and welcoming. Naeem took me to so many interesting and beautiful spots around Khajuraho with his tuktuk and motorcycle : waterfalls, canyon, villages, sunset viewpoints… Everything was great. Khajuraho feels like a welcoming breath of fresh air after being in a few big cities. I saw a different side of India, quieter, slower… So many beautiful and scenic spots, surrounded by lush nature. Fascinating to get a glimpse of the rural way of living. Nassim also booked my ticket for Panna national park where I got to see the mighty tigers up close. Unbelievable! Whenever you need a ride, Naeem will take you. And Rosie (sorry im butchering the name) cooks lovely food. This place is the best. Whatever you need, they will organize for you. Highly recommend! You will feel right at home.

My #1 place in India. Clean, big room with toilet, a balcony and garden, good wifi. breakfast included. Awesome, cheap villa's rooms run by very honest and professional manager and extremely helpful kitchen boy. They give and offer you much more than you pay for. I love it.

The room was clean and have all the facilities you need for staying a couples of nights. Location is very good. Just really close of 3 temples outside the complex. Ravi, the man in charge, is a really friendly and helpful host. He assured to make my days in Khajuraho the best ones.
