The surroundings of the camp are just stunning. The gardeners Indika, Upalai and Kumara do a very good job. The area is very quiet and full of birdlife an other animals. Our bushwalks with Nuwan and Dimuth were great, although we could‘nt find any elephants. Kumara led us to a beautiful waterfall where we had e refreshing bath. The service and food cooked by Upalai and Rajitha was excellent. Thanks a lot to all staff - we will come back one day 👋🏼🙏🏻

If you look for nature and serenity this is the perfect place to be. The host just was great and most helpful with tipps and any other whishes. He even cleaned our car, as he thought it was too dirty!!! The food just amazing including special whishes. If you want to be out of the main tourist places and find a really beautiful place - go there!

Mahinda and Muthu were really lovely. They were friendly, welcoming and funny, we felt immediately at home and wished we had stayed longer. They prepared us a Sri Lankan dinner of fish curry, eggplant curry and potato curry which was delicious, and then prepared us a breakfast which could have kept us going for a few days, again delicious, traditional and perfect. The room we stayed in was huge, clean, light and airy and well dressed. The bed was very comfy. Even their dog was super sweet and the many cats that choose to live amongst their gardens were friendly and brilliant. All in all we didnt want to leave, really loved this place and really its because Mahinda and Muthu are genuinely beautiful people. I couldn't recommend them enough.

I can’t even begin to describe how special Glen Myu Estate is. The property offers breathtaking views of its private valley, where multiple streams converge into a hidden waterfall—a perfect spot for a refreshing dip. The house itself is beautifully designed, with expansive windows that frame stunning vistas of rolling hills, massive boulders, and ancient tree roots, making you feel completely immersed in nature. Michael and Ruwanthi were exceptional hosts. Ruwanthi’s passion for her gardens shines through in every detail, and her cooking—largely sourced from their own garden—was some of the best we had in Sri Lanka. The landscaping and pool, nestled within the wild jungle, are simply gorgeous, evoking a true Garden of Eden vibe. The bedrooms and bathrooms are stylish and supremely comfortable, offering a luxurious experience that feels effortless and unpretentious. We loved hiking, exploring, and swimming in the local waterfalls—it was an unforgettable adventure. The photos truly don’t do this place justice. A special mention goes to Ruwanthi’s incredible baking skills. On our final morning, she went above and beyond by preparing a delicious packed breakfast for our long train ride to Kandy—a gesture we’ll never forget. We can’t wait to return. Thank you for an extraordinary stay!

This is a beautiful place where you'll find yourself in tune with nature in it's fullest glory. Every aspect of 'the Woods' exudes a natural vibe. Lots of wood, clay elements, beautiful plants everywhere. It has clearly been well-maintained. The staff is very friendly. Also there is a beautiful forest that they have partly cultivated and partly kept in it's pristine purity. If you want there are a few waterfalls with natural ponds where you can take a dip. The view from the main building is beautiful and at night there are just a few lights, giving you the feeling that uninhabited places still exist. You really feel like you are in the woods, surrounded by nature. A welcome change from most places where too much has been built. This is really a natural retreat space. Beautiful ❤️

Stayed for 3 nights and really enjoyed the place. The view is fantastic, good coffee, room service, fun manager:)) just keep in mind it’s in the mountains so the weather can get chilly and rainy.
