Convenient central location, short drive to most eateries, a rental car company is just across the road, your hosts live right behind you so are within close distance if you need help with anything. The place is always immaculately clean and QUIET. Just pure bliss and serenity if you choose to stay here.

First she greeted me at the airport with the most beautiful pink ei (not knowing that pink is my color). I tried to save it for so many days. She then drove me around in the pouring rain to multiple stores around the island to make sure that I had everything I needed for my 3 night stay there. She was an amazing host who really went out of her way! The bungalow was new and very clean. Nice view!

The host provided airport transfers and even took them to the supermarket. During their stay, perhaps due to the intense heat, my mother felt unwell. The host not only provided emergency medication but also drove them to the hospital, reminded my mother to drink plenty of water, and even gave them two coconuts. Every day was filled with the host's heartfelt care. We are extremely grateful.

The house is fantastic—spacious, immaculately clean, and well-equipped to provide a cozy and comfortable experience. The cool sea breeze and the thoughtful layout of the house ensured we were always comfortable. It’s clear that Vaa and Joliene have put great effort into making Are Kapakapa a home away from home for their guests. Another highlight of our stay was exploring the fruit trees around the property. The coconuts were a delightful treat, perfect for a refreshing snack after spending time at the beach. Every aspect of Are Kapakapa reflects the love and effort that Vaa and Joliene pour into their hospitality. The outdoor showers were awesome. Great snorkeling out front. Close to a couple places to eat . Can rent Escooters onsite which was awesome. We stayed 3 nights , then 2 nights in One Foot Island and now 2 nights elsewhere on island....I wish we had returned to Etu Moana

View of the lagoon and the surf breaking over the reef was spectacular. Mark, our host, lent us his car (competative price) and also took us out to One Foot Island in his skiff. A much better choice than a larger boat with many tourists. On the premises is a great little restaurant and food store. The staff were friendly and helpful. Service was excellent. The menu was versatile with vegan options. The mango smoothies were great to quench our thirst during the hot summer days on Aitutaki. Overall--a great place to stay if you like to avoid the resort crowd and actually meet the locals.
