They took care of us since the first moment we stepped out of the plane, actually even before, suggesting us good restaurants to visit and a great guide for the island (Noeraŋi, highly suggested). The Hare o Haupiano is a family-run cute hotel, immersed in the nature but just 10 min on foot from the city center and many restaurants. During the staying Lucy and Juan helped us a lot, especially with my ankle, which I sprained during an excursion. When we left they gave us two presents and Lucy gave a pair of wonderful earrings to my wife as a farewell present. Such nice people and such a nice B&B at the same time are difficult to find. We can just suggest them and support Hare o Haupiano. Maururu!!

Laundry was also washed gratis, a rarity in any location without a dedicated washing machine. A good breakfast was included in the price, which was not stated in the original booking. You can also book the two tours offered on the island from the hotel. Extremely highly recommended.

Bathrooms can be private or shared at some rooms, while tents have only shared bathroom access. Lovely relaxed place to stay close to the airport and Hanga Roa. Stayed in a double room - very comfortable with shared bathroom and shower which was perfect. Good kitchen facilities too - clean and well organised. Was met at the airport by Benjamin with a garland of flowers and he dropped us off also free of charge. Benjamin organised for us to experience Kari Kari a cultural dance performance which was fantastic and also a tour around the island. Beautiful scenery and the Moai are incredible. Would also recommend renting a car just to go at your own pace and go for a swim at Anakena beach which is beautiful. Be aware that you can only visit the moai sites with a guide and at $80 usd for the ticket this does seem a little restrictive - nothing to do with the property at all but feedback for the tourist powers that be.

La Perouse is separate in two wings, meters away from each ofther. The oceanside property is fitted with five suites and two bungalows in total, each one with private bathroom facilities and private entrance. Some of them have ocean view and private terrace. Rooms at Hotel Boutique La Perouse are set up as double rooms but may be changed to become triple rooms upon request. Everything was so perfect. The location is really good, very close to every place. The breakfast was amazing, especially the omlet and the ocean view!!! Their cleaning service was the best, literally you can see the cleanest room everyday. All staff were so friendly. Thank you so much for everything and I highly recommend this hotel.
