We didn’t see a sloth in the garden but did at Mistico Park and at the hosts’ farm, where we ate fresh rambutans! We didn’t feel like a tourist here but part of the family. Truly memorable stay. Maikol and Grace went above and beyond to help me plan my stay in Costa Rica. Maikol arranged transport from the airport and to my next destination. My dog was safe and had a friend to play with. Grace showed me some walks and let me practice my Spanish with her. The bed was comfy and I used the washer and drier. The kitchen is well equipped, it even has a kettle for tea.

You're staying in a working farm, so you can milk cows (and drink fresh milk) and see some wild animals up close, including sloth, monkey and toucans. As others mention the hummingbirds like to congregate in the garden. There is a little country store nearby with a few essentials, and the community is real and safe. Nice country walks.

The accomodations are 'tents' but very comfortable. Daily breakfast was very good. Generally, continental, but you are offered scrambled or fried eggs cooked to order. Pool area is very nice. Beautiful grounds.
