We were welcomed by a friendly smile and our room was great! Bed was comfortable, hot water was perfect, and the inclusion of a small fridge and kettle were very helpful with saving a bit of money on breakfasts. Location is great - easy walk to the docks and close by to Concha for snorkelling. They offer all the most popular Isabela tours, and the prices they quoted us were much better than what we’d already pre-paid on Santa Cruz. Would recommend and will definitely be back!

Walter, our host welcomed us personally and he organized a transfer and taxi trip for us from the airport. He is very friendly, helpful and responds quickly, we were happy to have him as host. The place itself is quiet and comfortable, perfect for travelling couples. We would definitely go back!

Isabela is an extraordinary, beautiful island and we were very glad to stay at Black Pearl. The hosts are very accommodating and welcoming, they are naturalist guides and gave excellent recommendations and helped organise our logistics. We also enjoyed making our own coffee and use of the communal kitchen (kettle, toastie maker etc).

All clean, odor-free, and very quiet at night. The beds were comfortable, there was always hot water, and the air conditioning worked well. Very good location, you can walk anywhere pretty quickly. Mercedes was helpful and always available if we had any questions or needed assistance. There is also a kitchen in room. We had a great time and had a great rest after an active day! I would recommend staying here!

Pleasant, cozy, very clean and above all- Carlos from the place staff is a wonderful person who really cares about his guests free drinking water, towels as needed and how shower at the end of the day.

Loved the family atmosphere! Romy and his family were very helpful and welcoming. The hostel was super clean, 3- 5 minute maximum walk to center, very very quiet and safe feeling. The breakfast was good and priced well but it is basically the same menu - eggs, toast, fruit, juice, coffee - everyday which you find in all the hotels here. I definitely would stay here again.
