When we arrived, they told me one the sofa bed was broken by the previous guest, they have to repaired it, we can wait or upgrade us to room in Tuya hotel. So we stayed in Tuya actually. The apartment’s location is good, around 10mins. walk to the temple and 15mins. walk to town center & bus station.

The location of this small hotel on the Island of Elephantine is perfect. Elephantine is a very attractive and interesting island, where a lot can be seen. Within a 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel there are two different ferries to the Corniche of Aswan. Our room was spacious, and from the balcony we had a magnificent view on the beautiful Nile, the motor boats and feluccas passing by, as well as on the east bank of Aswan. Rooms, corridors, staircases, restaurant and other areas are daily cleaned thoroughly up by Ahmed of the house keeping. We love the kitchen of Kana Kato. The breakfast is excellent with among others Egyptian bananas, mandarins, Egyptian bread, omelet, tomatoes, cucumber, fresh cheese, Nubian 'baklava' with black honey. In the evening different meals are on the menu: lovely tajine meals with fresh fish, beef or chicken are served. There are also grilled dishes, soups, sandwiches, French fries, and pastas. We loved the fresh fruit juices, which are prepared on the spot.
