We used this accommodation as our home base for several day tours in the Finnish lake region, and we do not regret it for a small moment. A nice small guesthouse with a private sauna, just a short walk away from the harbour, offers anything you need as a tourist. Granted, the room may not have the most modern look, but we were happy nonetheless: the room was spotlessly clean, and the kitchen has many utensils. The biggest asset of this guesthouse? The host: a very kind and welcoming lady who helped us on our way multiple times. This hospitality was also reflected in all common areas, which were breathing a cozy 'welcome home'-atmosphere. I would most definitely book here again.

Salpalinjan Hovi is set in a charming, renovated school building, 10 minutes’ drive from Lappeenranta city centre. It offers self-catering accommodation with classic décor, a kitchenette and private bathroom. WiFi and parking are free. Excellent location and awesome place to stay close to Lappeenranta. The "history room" is super, it's very spacious and it's fully furnished with everything. The host is very nice and helpful in explaining what to do in the nearby area and in Rutola village. Nearby there's a GP Grilli which is excellent. I highly recommend it if you're passing by!

The tastefully decorated Kiurunrinne Villas have high ceilings, panoramic lake views and wooden interiors. A fireplace, seating area and flat-screen TV feature in the living room. The bathroom includes a shower and hairdryer. Lovely spacious villa, perfectly peaceful. Close to the lake area. Check-in was easy. Staff was helpful and quick to respond. Having our own sauna was a plus. There's even a fireplace and a bbq area outside.
