Found in an Edwardian building formerly home to the Anchor Line Shipping Company’s headquarters, this city centre aparthotel is inspired by a 1920s ocean liner. With original 1906 features, there are glazed tiles, terrazzo flooring, timber wall-panelling, fireplaces and even the original safes. The staff were super helpful. They even moved rooms for us so my family could all be together. Reception staff were very friendly recommending restaurants and helping me get in my room when my kids locked me out!

Auchendennan FarmSelf Catering Cottages offers a beautiful setting in Arden, a short walk from the shores of Loch Lomond and only 2 miles from Balloch. These charming cottages are purpose-built and have free Wi-Fi. What a lovely property. The studio was spacious and well lit. It was sufficiently stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Everything was clean and beds were super comfy. The private garden was the highlight. Also, although a bit further from the city, which shouldn’t be a problem even if you don’t have a car since cabs are easily available, it was right across the road from the loch. The farm right outside the cottages was lovely. Peaceful location.

The property is non-smoking and is set 300 metres from Sauchiehall Street. We were made from the very beginning to treat this property as a home from home. The space was beautifully furnished and very comfortable, with everything needed for a relaxing visit. Very central position but still peaceful. Steve was very responsive to questions asked prior to visit and took time to show us around the property on arrival.
