The speciality of the house boat is its location which has a full view of the Dal lake from our room window. Special thanks to the Hospitality provided by Ibrahim Bhai. He took care of us like his family. He helped us in renting bike, Shikhara ride and provided guidance throughout our trip and even before our arrival to Kashmir. We will definitely stay again with them. We are grateful and highly recommended.

Mr. Firdous's houseboat was far enough from the street so the only sound you hear is the tranquility of Dal Lake. Every morning, you would wake up to a peaceful view of the lake, plus a well-cooked breakfast (try the egg pizza!) The rooms are wonderful, authentic, and full of patterns (a big YES for maximalist) Mr Firdous knows EVERYONE you need, so he is ready to go the extra mile to accommodate your needs. If he cannot help you with that, he will get you the rightest guy for you. As someone who had stayed 2 weeks before staying Veena Palace, I can say finding dinner is challenging in Srinagar, especially if you live on a houseboat. Worry not because his wife is a wonderful cook who performs art with skill and heart. I tried some dishes from the elaborate Kashmiri wazwan, and I cannot recommend enough the crispy rib and the fish curry. The meatball was mashed to perfection; chewy and juicy. I personally learnt so much about heart-to-heart connection, which is something considerable for solo travellers in India, thanks to Mr. Firdous. My words cannot describe enough for my wonderful stay with Mr. Firdous on his houseboat.

I had two very nice stays at Ilham‘s guesthouse. He is a very helpful and attentive host and always willing to give support if needed. The room was spacious and comfortable. The location is very central, but at the same time quiet. All major sights are just a short rickshaw ride away. I would definitely stay there again.

The place is quite and if you really want to see the kashmiri village life then this homestay is perfect for you. Their baithak where they welcome guest will instantly make you feel home and give perfect kashmiri vibe. Secondly, it's owner Firdaus was very friendly and welcoming in nature and showed us perfect kashmiri hospitality. My 5 yr old kid became very fond of him. He gave us a tour of the jungle and farms and we were mesmerized with it. This was a perfect start for our beautiful kashmir trip. Moreover, he helped us in arranging taxi for the whole kashmir trip. So in the end go in this homestay for village experience, kashmiri hospitality, picture perfect location and last but not the least Firdaus Bhai friendliness.

We had an amazing stay at the hotel and the Owner(Fahad) was very hospitable.We were also provided breakfast on request and it was very tasty.Rooms were as shown in the pictures-very clean and luxurious.Near to the airport.
