Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. The hotel features a public bath, a karaoke room and free WiFi at the lobby. Amazing experience in a traditional style with a modern comfort. The hotel is located in a quiet place ~20 mins walk from the ferry port. It may sound far but the hotel provides the shuttle bus as often as you need. We were prepared for the ryokan rules about the shoes, so it wasn’t a surprise for us. The traditional room is very beautiful, clean, looks better in real life than on the pictures. Nice view from the window, I even saw an eagle on the tree. The hotel staff is extremely polite and helpful. Usually the staff set up the bed after the dinner but they set it up for me when I asked for a day nap. The dinner and breakfast servings is extraordinarily. Nice choice of exclusive souvenirs, especially loved the Momiji manju cookies, the ones from the hotel are MUCH better than the ones from the shopping street. In general, I highly recommend to stay here at least for 1-2 night for better exploration of Miyajima without rush.

Jukeiso features Japanese-style rooms overlooking the majestic entrance gate (Torii) of Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, only a 5-minute walk from the Unesco World Heritage Site itself. The hotel offers public and private hot baths and a free shuttle to/from Miyajima Ferry Terminal. Free Wi-Fi is provided at the lobby. Incredible staff, they were very helpful! The rooms are big, and you even get a Japanese style greeting.

The japanese dinner and breakfast was included. All very fresh, but too many oysters for me😁. Great place to stay on the island for one night but be aware that all is shut on the island once it gets dark. They collected our luggage on the first day so we could tour the town and climb Mt Misen. Then we got an early free shuttle to get the ferry in the morning. All great.

Stopped off here halfway through the Shimanami Kaido. Reo was such a good host and Tora is such a good cat. We chatted for ages and exchanged gifts. The room was an authentic Japanese experience.

The apartment has family rooms. Not sure if this was a ryokan, but comfortable stay regardless. Location is a bit off the main road and up a hill. Close to Ōyamazumi Shrine and the main shopping street. Host very friendly and accommodating. This is an older house, and the rooms aren't soundproof. You're able to hear other guests talking in the common area downstairs. But it didn't bother me, and I was still able to go to bed early. The sounds just felt like being in a house with family. Washer and dryer are free to use.

This villa features air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace. The property is non-smoking and is situated 35 km from Kuruson-zan Shuzen-ji Temple. The location was simply divine. You need a car to get there. But the view over the ocean and watching the sunset is unbeatable. It had everything you needed for cooking, so well equipped.

The accommodation features a shared kitchen, free shuttle service and luggage storage for guests. Koji is the most generous owner and genunely welcome to help. He picked us up from the port and even picked us up from another port in the night time (we survived from the most adventurous journey - thankful to Koji!). Talk about the place: the guesthouse is cozy and warm. The shared facilities included kitchen and washing machine. The price of ramen and washing pods are the same price in the convenience store and may be cheaper. E-bikes are also provided with the cheap rate (1000 yen/day).

This room was so beautiful! I would move in :) The attention to detail here is insane. Highly recommended.

It was an interesting experience to live like a local in a tatami room. The owners of the property are very nice and hospitable people. In the owners' house, you can see a large collection of things related to the famous anime "Detective Conan". In addition, the respected owner showed us very beautiful lamps that he makes himself, and in the evening the owners kindly offered us to try a traditional Japanese tea ceremony with a sensei with the opportunity to make our own green tea. They also treated us to delicious baked sweet potatoes and gave us souvenirs related to the anime. It was very nice. At Yura Station, where the property is located, there are many interesting locations dedicated to the anime Detective Conan. If you are a fan of this anime, or just interested in Japanese culture and traditions, you should definitely stay at this friendly house.
