This 2-star ryokan offers full-day security and luggage storage space. The accommodation offers a concierge service and a housekeeping service for guests. Clean and big room - very traditional old Japanese style Ryokan; exactly what we have been looking for. Great location too. The staff was fantastic, providing us with tips for the neighbourhood and some interesting Japanese coffee jelly. There is free coffee, tea and water as well at all times. Be sure to reserve breakfast at least a day in advance. We missed it and unfortunately could not get a taste of it (though it looked fantastic).

Opened in June 2013, The Edo Sakura offers accommodation in a Japanese-style Machiya townhouse located a 5-minute walk from Iriya Subway Station and a 10-minute walk from JR Uguisudani Train Station. Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire property and guests can enjoy looking out into the traditional garden. Ueno Station is a 15-minute walk away. Excellent stay at the hotel, room was great, they let us drop our luggage before having the room as well as after check out. Great staff, very helpful

There is a bath for each gender on site and both the female and male baths offer a view of Senso-ji Temple’s Five-storied Pagoda. Location couldn’t be any better- smack in the middle of the market and the temple. A little oasis there! The snacks and beverage station was a nice addition and the staff were super friendly.

The neighborhood is convenient with Family Marts, McDonald’s, and plenty of cafes offering great morning coffee options. The house itself is perfect for a family of three—clean, modern, and equipped with a washer. While there’s no dryer, the bathroom’s drying system works wonderfully, leaving clothes ready by the next day. The owner is very responsive and considerate, and the English manuals for everything make staying here a breeze. Highly recommend!
