Opened in June 2013, The Edo Sakura offers accommodation in a Japanese-style Machiya townhouse located a 5-minute walk from Iriya Subway Station and a 10-minute walk from JR Uguisudani Train Station. Free Wi-Fi is available at the entire property and guests can enjoy looking out into the traditional garden. Ueno Station is a 15-minute walk away. The traditionnal room is amazing, we enjoyed the atmosphere and the peacefullness of the rooms. The bath was pretty relaxing and the staff is so kind and helpful. Its my second time at edo sakura and I still love it very much.

This was our third time staying in annex katsutaro and we always love to stay here when we come to tokyo. I first booked a room for one for two weeks but my mother decided to come to tokyo for the last week and the ryokan was helpful in changing the room for the last week. I also had online orders that they kindly put in my room. Always a great experience staying here, very clean and good service, thank you again!

There is a bath for each gender on site and both the female and male baths offer a view of Senso-ji Temple’s Five-storied Pagoda. The staff was welcoming and eager to help. We shipped our luggages a day after our arrival and they even brought the heavy bags to our room in our absence. The ryokan is very well located, near the temple and the small shops. It gets very quiet at night even though it is a very busy area during the day. The room is small but well put together. Minimal decoration, traditional with tatami and comfortable futons. We were also provided with lovely snacks and tea as a welcoming package. The onsen is very intimate and private, with a view of either the temple nearby or the Skytree. We would definitely come back to this lovely ryokan when we will return to Japan!

Early check in available for a small extra fee which was really helpful after an early flight to Japan. Two separate sleeping areas with sliding doors made for a great home from home for a few days. Easy to get to by direct train from Haneda airport. Would stay again.
