Inside the room it had everything you would expect from a pricey hotel. It is only a few steps walk to the Kalkuda beach. (I found Kalkuda beach to be less crowded and cleaner than the Pasikuda beach). I enjoyed a really nice Sri Lankan breakfast during my stay.

Always wanting to help us with anything we needed and brought us hot coffee in the mornings. Little shop very close by, a hopper man sets up his stall just outside in the evenings. Very nice staff and surroundings are lovely, loads of trees and green. 280m to the beach so no need for other transportation. I would 100% recommend
