Lovely attentive hosts, the Mrs is an excellent cook and we ate like kings for our two night stay - breakfasts simple and tasty, dinner an enormous rice and curry spread that could've fed and army, and the lunch box we had on our safari was a tiffin full of delicious fried rice and curry with loads of snacks and drinks. The safari our hosts organised was excellent, just the two of us in the jeep and a driver/guide who could spot an ant from a mile away. Unfortunately no leopards for us but incredible birdlife, and various other animals (spotted and barking deer, warthogs, crocs, mongooses, grey langurs etc).. They also organised very reasonably priced transfers between our accommodations afterwards. There's also a nice loop walk near the lake close to the accommodation for an evening stroll. Highly recommend this place for your time in Wilpattu.

We left for our safari early so sadly did not get to try breakfast, but were very satisfied by the room, and appreciated the warm reception/ extra care the staff gave to our family! While there was no common space (think motel style rooms that spit out onto a outside porch) we were only there one night and it suited our needs well. The safari company was able to pick us up from this location so all worked well.

Leopards, Elephants, Bears etc. The driver has a great experience about the jungle and the roads. We went 3 kinds of safari in Sri Lanka and this was the best. I think this is the best place to go on a wilpattu safari tour. Very good & appreciate it!!

Surrounded by wildlife and nature, the camp-site is 7 km from the park’s entrance and just 500 metres from the park's boundary. A quaint and great outdoor experience. The tents were very clean and the beds provided were very comfortable. The staff were very friendly but especially the chef - Chanaka(?) - was very considerate about providing a gluten-free meal for two members of our party
