The entire family that run this place are about the nicest people you will ever meet. They did above and beyond to help me out, notably finding and then physically hailing mystery bus #10 direct to Elle which saved me 7 hours travel time. Facilities were clean, comfortable and relaxing even though, because I was too cheap to pay for air conditioning, a little hot in the early evenings. I suggest you choose more wisely. They have free bikes, which I was unable to take advantage of but others raved about and the on site food was very good. Bring guitar pics, music, and a few licks for their talented son.

The “tents” (it is more of a 5 star hotel suite) are clean, spacious, fully equipped (private wifi and AC) and comfortable. We also had a private jacuzzi. Besides, the food is exceptional (one of the best we have had in Sri Lanka). We did the one day safari and it was certainly one of our favorite days of our entire trip. You get to see many animals while being accompanied by a wildlife specialist (ours was Kusar and he is very knowledgeable and friendly). Staff from the hotel met us inside the national park to bring us a delicious Sri Lankan lunch. Finally, the staff of the hotel is amazing. They arranged our transfer from Ella and arranged a morning and afternoon safari for us. We were greeted with a delicious cold coconut water, in the coconut. We chose the breakfast and dinner option which makes so much sense because the town is a bit of a walk and after a safari all day (4:30 am to 6:30 pm) it is great to have dinner at the homestay. Both dinners we had were excellent, I think the best food we've had in Sri Lanka! They also pack a breakfast to go on your safari day because of leaving so early. When you wake up they have coffee and bananas for you before leaving. Our room was a great size, ac and hot water worked well. The owners are very kind, friendly and even drove us to the bus stop, stayed with us and made sure we got on the right bus. I highly recommend Tissa Rainbow for your stay while exploring Yala National Park, you won't regret it!

He made sure we had everything we needed and together with his team, he provided a great experience - from the cinnamon plantation tour to sri lankan food we had not tried before the whole team did their best. The manager also organized a great safari trip to Yala national park. The room was very big and clean. The hotel is surrounded by rice fields and nature.
