When we decided to just make sandwiches for dinner, they provided plates and silverware. We left an article behind and they helped us to recover it by sending it on to us in Mexico City. Of course, one should not expect luxury, but in its category this B and B offers everything you need—comfortable bed, good water pressure and abundant hot water, convenient location, and a “continental” breakfast that also includes eggs prepared to order. Also, convenient parking right across the street for a small additional charge (about US $6).

The hosts made me feel so comfortable and set a beautiful table for me each morning in the courtyard for breakfast. The food was incredible- strong coffee, fresh bread with homemade jams, local fruit, yoghurt and granola with honey and best of all traditional dishes for me to try including a fermented corn omelette and savory tortillas with mushrooms. The hosts respected my privacy but were totally available with suggestions and the room was huge with wonderful toiletry products and attention to detail in every corner. I highly recommend this place.

We enjoyed staying with Mr. Edmundo and his family. They hosted us with delicious breakfast and we got to ride the horses the Mexican way! That was definitely something to remember. Make sure you ride to San Andrés de Calpan, that is where the ranch is located (look for Cabalgatas Puebla on Google Maps).
