We made use of the comfortable lounge & the free tea & coffee on offer. The tables at breakfast were beautifully laid with baskets of bread & plenty of options on offer at the buffet table. We absolutely loved staying here & wished we had booked more than one night.

Overlooking the scenic Douro River Valley, Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food is set in a historic country house and surrounded by a garden and vineyards. It features an outdoor pool and an on-site restaurant. Visiting the Douro region I found the best thing to do is to stay here. You will experience everything Douro region has to offer! Throughout your visit you will experience several tasting of the excellent portwines of the house. And staying there you don’t need to drive anymore. (Large carpark). There is a joint drink followed by a communal dinner. The food is excellent and portwines are used in the food as well. It’s a very nice to socialize with other guests. There is a lovely swimming pool with nice seating area overlooking the wineslopes. Rooms are spotless, very comfortabel and atmospheric. Last but not least: there is a beautiful 2 hour hike from the premises through the winefields with magnificant Douro riverviews from high above! This all makes for an unforgettable experience! It was raining when we checked in and the host had already turned on the inverter for us before our arrival, which shows how attentive they are to their guests. We enjoyed our stay there and will definitely repeat the stay on our next visit. Thank you for providing an amazing place for the stay.
