I took my fiancé (then girlfriend) away for the weekend with the intention of proposing. I got in contact with the reserve and told them about my plans and requested them to assist with the set-up. They took us out on a private game drive whilst the staff was preparing a breakfast spot at the view point. Everyone assisted and overshot expectations. Apart from the lengths they went to to make the moment special, the whole weekend was amazing. The staff is exceptionally friendly and one feels at home. I would definitely recommend Summerplace for a weekend break away.

Summerset Place Country House is set against the foot of the Waterberg and adjacent to a private game reserve. The country house has a swimming pool and is situated just 3 km away from the town centre of Bela Bela. Very nice tranquil place with beautiful gardens. We sat outside in the gardens in the evening for our take away meal. Beautiful views from the picnic area. Breakfast was excellent. Very classy establishment

Monika and Dave were such kind, friendly and helpful hosts, and our breakfasts and home cooked dinners courtesy of Monika were delicious! Watching the bush babies come down from their tree at sunset was a real treat!

Each tent is set on a raised platform and comes with a private deck and panoramic views of the surroundings. It also has electricity and an en suite bathroom with complimentary toiletries. We loved the friendly helpful staff who could not do enough to make our stay a wonderful experience, from the chef Anna to Catherine, Wesley, Margaret who waited on us and MJ and Vincent our game rangers.
