I can strongly recommend this pousada as, without a doubt, the single best place to stay in Santo Amaro. The rooms, beds, bathrooms and common areas are all extremely comfortable and well-maintained. However, the real drawcard is the wonderful host family. Despite only speaking a few words of the same language, Claudia and her daughter did ALL of the following for us: - organised our tours to the dunes - organised our transfers to and from Santo Amaro - did our laundry, folded it and returned it to our room in neat piles, and then refused to accept any payment for doing so - brought my partner hot tea when she was feeling sick - made delicious breakfasts with fresh fruit, juice, cakes and new surprises each morning - welcomed us to the pousada with great compliments and praise ❤️😭 It was simply an amazing stay and we'd go back in a heartbeat. If you are reading this review, please book this place now!

Staff was perfect. Very attentive and always available for you. The owner, Beto, always offered to bring us to restaurants. The apartment was nice, complete and the breakfast was good. Only 10 minutes walking from the main center square

We had such a wonderful stay at Santo Amaro. It was the best find on the booking website and we were so lucky to find it. This room is definitely worth the money, and if I visit Santo Amaro again, this is the place where i will stay again. The room was clean and comfortable. Pool was relaxing and refreshing. Finally, the service was always helpful and accommodating. Breakfast service to rooms was great, and there are plenty of drinks in the frigobar to choose from.

The room was very spacious, clean and new. The pousada is located close to the entrance of the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, so it’s perfect for participating in tours. The quality of the daily breakfast was good. The best part of my stay was the host Carla. She was the sweetest person, took care of everything (organizing tours, ordering food, etc.) for me and spoke English really well.

Communication with host was super easy and helpful. He provided the contact of service providers such as tour guides, transport, taxi and even someone that could cook for us. He's very friendly and helpful. The home was tastefully decorated with air-conditioning in both bedrooms and living area. The swimming pool was quite nice.
